I want to recommend a great general contractor in the area-Purofirst of Chicagoland. They did a great job on my water-damaged basement. They are a single source provider that does cleaning deodorization, reconstruction, redecoration, and water damage. They are efficient, great communicators; they explain everything clearly and stick with the job until it is done. Dan and Larry Leibforth the owners are a pleasure to deal with. A pipe burst in the condo above mine and damaged my ceiling, hardwood floors, and carpet. The crew were friendly and did an amazing job. They were very responsive, great at communicating about the repairs and answering any questions I had, and finished the work quickly. I am very happy with my beautiful refinished floors!
We had ice dams that resulted in water damage to our hardwood floors and required walls/ceilings in multiple rooms to be brought down to studs to dry out. Purofirst came in to handle the restoration work. Dan did a great job of explaining the process, answering our questions and keeping us in the loop as the work took place over a couple months.
