I got my hair done on 12/2/23 and had box braids installed. Kay did a fantastic job. I was offered a 2pm slot but when a client failed to confirm their appointment she allowed me to come in earlier. She’s professional and requested a reasonable deposit for her services. Her work is neat and her braids were uniform. I will definitely be a repeat client.

Where do I start! I had a confirmed appointment for 3pm yesterday Nov 8th since my daughter had half day of school. Kay waits until 2:15 day of appointment to call and say if we could come at 4. I said sure no problem but I had an errand to run to my work office. I end up getting stuck because had she kept our original time this wouldn’t be an issue. Which now would make me have to ask her to delay the appointment 40 min. Do you know she had the audacity to stop responding to my texts. I advised how important this appointment was and asked if we would reschedule before Picture day Thursday (tomorrow). The damn nerve of her. She literally messed up my daughter for pictures. I hope she goes out of business she is so damn unprofessional. Not to mention we were there once and she started my daughters hair stopped and did another lady’s while we wasted our time waiting. You don’t have to worry I won’t be trying to book you again and will take advantage of every chance I get to let people know the type of business you operate. Thanks for ruining my 9 year olds picture day! Can’t wait to post this to FB everyone need to beware of you and your unprofessional practices.

I changed my rating to a one star because Kay will not return my call.During my last appointment, I had a scheduled call and I informed both Kay and her mom about it. However, I felt uncomfortable when the conversation continued above my head, making it challenging for me to focus on my call. I requested some quiet time to finish my call, and I sensed some tension afterward.I’ve reached out to you several times since then, hoping we could discuss this matter and clear any misunderstandings. Unfortunately, I haven’t received a response, which has left me feeling a bit disregarded.

If you are a person of morals and integrity DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE AT THIS BUSINESS! I asked the stylist Kay for kinky twists.. to make this dreadful and disappointed story short.. the pictures speaks louder than my words! Furthermore, she asked me to pay her half way of doing my hair.. I am a person of integrity therefore I did. When she finished my hair, it was NOT what I asked for! She barely understood what I wanted done, and she didn't understand layers (which is mostly kinky twists). Instead of saying she didn't understand or she couldn't give me what I asked she did what she wanted! This so call business woman had the nerve to argue at me and said, "I braided your hair for all these hours etc." As if I didn't sit in that chair! Later, I went to her on Monday (she did my hair Saturday). She argued with me again! She DID NOT say she will redo my hair or help fix it.. No! Ok, well give me half my money back for a half hair due I didn't ask for! She didn't! I paid another African braid salon to do what she didn't do. She DID NOT have integrity, morals or values to give half my money back! Lastly, I went to several braids salon and I was told, "this not kinky twist and I'm not sure the style she was trying to do.. the picture with me in the yellow dress and the happy heart was done by another African braid stylist I paid! I will make sure I file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Secretary of state who give licenses, SBA, etc. and let these agencies know about her business and unsavory practice! I have a family to take of myself and NOT waste money or unnecessary time!
