Burr Oak Cemetery

I have no one buried here; but all cemeteries remove flowers, balloons etc. at different times of the year. I would put down and make cemetery wreaths in December. They would stay down a while then be removed. Check with the cemetery. Could be because it's easier to do up keep around the grave area. And some things of memory fly away.

My sister and I chose to lay my parents to rest in 2019 and 2020. What I don't like about this cemetery is that they take away very nice, expensive, sentimental things away from my parent's grave site and want replace them, without any remorse or care. I wish I would have known about them removing balloons, flowers, gates, and other sentimental things. I don't think we would have chosen Burr Oaks as their final resting place.

My sister and I chose Burr Oak for our mom's final resting place. Making the arrangements was very smooth. Shirley was really personable, sensitive, and patient. THE GRATITUDE ENDS THERE. We had a direct burial Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Rain was in the forecast for the day and boy, it rained ALL day. When we arrived, it seemed as though we surprised them with our presence. NOTHING was set up for us - NO CANOPY, NO CHAIRS, NOTHING. We stood the entire ceremony IN THE RAIN. To add insult to injury, my mom's grave site was a nice distance from the driving path, and THERE WERE NO WALKING PLANKS laid for us to walk on.
