Unfortunately, I am updating my review after receiving a very unprofessional voicemail from this office.
For context, we missed one appointment due to a family emergency. Prior to this, we had not missed any appointments. The initial voicemail regarding the missed visit was reasonable; however, the caller failed to hang up, and we were able to hear additional comments that were clearly not meant for us. These included remarks such as “that was so annoying,” along with discussion about flagging our account and limiting scheduling.
Hearing staff speak this way about patients was disappointing and concerning. When I called back to address the issue, the only response I received was a reference to “office policy.” There was no acknowledgment of the inappropriate comments, no apology, and no effort to address the situation professionally or escalate the concern to someone in a position of accountability.
We understand that missed appointments can be frustrating, but emergencies happen. What matters is how situations are handled, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short of what I would expect from a professional healthcare office.

All three of my children are seen here and have had great experiences. The staff knows how to talk to and put kids at ease. They listen and invite questions from the guardians. The care they've received has been consistently excellent.

Gentle Dentle also has a stellar front office staff. They are communicative and friendly. Their billing practices have been transparent. They follow through on managing records.

I really have to give them kudos for being a well-run practice, with both the medical and administrative sides being solid.

Dr. McDonald is a fantastic dentist! I give him 5 stars. He is so personable. He’s honest, caring, funny, and gentle.
That being said, I moved to Nampa eighteen years ago from the Midwest and I saw Dr.McDonald up until a few months ago. It’s due to the rudeness that one of the office staff who answered the phone was with me. It wasn’t the first time, but it was the last. When you see a dentist for that long, it was a very hard decision to change dentists because of the staff. Dr. McDonald, you are missed. Thank you for all the years you took care of my husband and I!

Front desk girls are the best!! So friendly and nice!! Hygienist was very friendly and efficient.

I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but I had a great experience at this dental office. My hygienist Alysia, was wonderful. So very gentle, I was never under any discomfort at all. And the doctor also, very gentle and kind. This is now my home dental office. I can’t recommend them any higher. Thank you Gentle Dental.
