So unprofessional my wife, in a lot of pain ready to be induced was told that they wouldn't induce her unless it was life threating. Even after finding out the other locations had availability they still did nothing to help. Shame on you guys making a girl in pain just wait. Such a joke. Honestly after today we will be going out of our way to NOT have the baby here. Staff seemed like they could give a shit what a joke, from out of state and let me tell you they don't even come close to comparing such a massive let down and proved how unorganized these people are. After reading more reviews I am not the only one, instead of coming on here and reaching out to take some FKING accountability they just ignore all these people who have suffered. Hope they get shut down due to malpractice and sued until they have to depend on government assistance these doctors do not care about your pain or what you are going through. Go to Saint Als, trust me. They only care about money this place is literally satanic it's crazy don't mind my wife in so much pain she can't sleep or the guy who was killed because he was given to much fentanyl, instead of helping they'll ask you how do you want to pay? Are you serious? Where is the humanity in that. Get your money somewhere else we aren't pawns for you, we deserve care worry about your money another time. This review will just get ignored along with the others who have lost literal family members due to this hospitals disorganization or inability to provide proper care, like I said they only care about $. Shouldn't be a doctor if that's what your in it for sorry, how about just helping people out? Sounds good to me, not to these soulless scumbags.

I recently was brought in by ambulence to this ER. I had some blood drawn and was in a wheelchair for 4 hours in pain waiting to be seen. I couldn't take it any longer so we left. They left notes in my file saying I left with an IV in my arm. Definatly not. Unfortianatly I had to return today after a fall. The ER had empty beds but we were put in a room with a bunch of chairs. After waiting 25 minutes we left. I have had some fantastic treatment here but no more

NO STARS. My husband was diagnosed with primary NSCLC metastatic stage 4/PL1 on Father's day 6/2023 at Boise St. Luke's when we took him in due to severe RT sciatic pain- secondary bone cancer in pelvis. Not a smoker. I wish with all my heart we had transferred OOS to a better hospital right away. We were set up with "doctor" Eric Fountain at Meridian St. Luke's & towards the end of my husband's bad experience with him, he brushed him off to his colleague Haghighat because he probably didn't want to hear our complaints anymore, or feel guilty. This "doctor" Fountain would only see him every 3 mos for a 45 min appt. The rest visits were only with his NP Courtney. Initially he said he would probably put him on Retevmo & Keytruda. Already doing research we let him know we wanted Keytruda. Then he said recommended only Retevmo for at least 20 mos. My husband conceded. After 12 mos of dealing with really high BP & chronic edema in his lower extremeties, common side effects of this drug, & 3 visits to the ER due to it, Fountain FINALLY felt it was best to stop Retevmo & put him on Keytruda. 3 mos prior to this my husband's cancer had already metastasized to his liver & brain. RF ablation to his liver did nothing , but appear to spread it. WBRT to his brain with Dr. Kuhn, after 8 sessions of the 12 she recommended, were already causing cognitive decline so we chose to stop at 8. By this time my husband was weaker, & laying down a lot which his NP & Fountain knew. Finally on Keytruda he experienced no major side effects, but by the 3rd infusion when he went in for brain MRI he had to be admitted because they found blood clots everywhere, from laying so much due to no energy, & that he was having mini strokes. During this stay we requested a hosptl 2 hosptl xfer to MD Anderson TX but St. Luke's came back with there are no beds available. 4 days in is when I confronted Fountain with: pmc/articles/PMC6209883/ Asking why they hadn't started treating him with anticoag meds sooner when we told them he was moving less, & just sitting or laying, & also checking for clots regularly. He said St. Luke's/they didn't do that, then lied (or I feel sorry for his family members), saying he swore he'd treated my husband like he would someone in his own family. At this time hospice is already being pushed on us heavily, us saying no. He is discharged 6 days later with one last hope the day as we're leaving. Doc there says MD Anderson says they have a bed available now. When you get home call your new oncologist, Haghighat, & ask him to call to request P2P call to discuss case. Meanwhile my husband in serious decline, finally on Eliquis for clots comes home & I am learning how to do everything for him. We give Haghighat the info & phn # the Thurs before Labor day weekend, & he says he will call immediately before he leaves on vacation to McCall, but will call us on Tues when he gets back. Tues morning I called the office & messaged on Mychart for status. No call. Wed only excuse from nurse on Mychart saying they couldn't get a hold of anyone, no call. Thurs same. By now I have conceded to hospice, but never with St. Luke's. Enhabit Hospice comes to help us. Haghighat finally calls on Fri when I am busy & leaves VM. Message: Hi, I was just calling to let you know if you or Mr. L need any help in any way we're still available here for you. I understand uh, & I've heard the frustrations & we do hear you & I'm sorry, you guys are going through this. Um & just an update. Uh unfortunately, despite our multiple efforts, uh reaching out to MD Anderson, we haven't heard back. Um but again, if uh if you need any, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out &, uh, take care. Bye. I took care of my husband for 4 days at home, then help from Enhabit for 5 days. When we could no longer control his pain at home, Enhabit got him into St. Al's Boise IP

My elder husband has been sick with flu like symptoms, minus throwing up and diarrhea. He typically doesn't go to hospitals or doctors for things, but asked to be taken last night. We got there, got processed, waited and were seen. The staff were very nice. They did not find anything, other than he was dehydrated. This morning, he started shaking head to toe and it went on for 30 minutes. I called his PCP, who is with St Lukes. I called to see if PCP could see him, Renae answered phone. Working on very limited sleep I tried to explain why I was concerned and calling. Renae needs to find a different job. Her tone, brusqueness and overall I don't give a shit attitude is not what patient's or family members need to deal with. Ever. We muddled through the conversation, she stated I would get a call from a Triage nurse in a few hours. I got a call from Karen, very nice and understanding. Due to his high fever at the time, I was advised to take him to the ER. I did. We got processed again and waited over 1.5 hours. (I understand how ER works, I understand you have to be ready to wait). When my husband's fever spiked again (It bounced between 100-104), I asked if I needed to let them know and maybe be seen sooner. I was told "No. That doesn't change anything. You will just need to wait" by the guy who gave us our "bands". My husband was miserable waiting, so he decided to leave. I have worked in the medical field. I know how things work, etc. However, I am so sick of this "sick care system" we have. Not everyone in the profession are unkind and uncaring, but there are far too many who are. The attitudes, the tones, the looks.....NOT ACCEPTABLE! The majority of the people who go to doctors or hospitals do so because they need help. The condemnation we experience is NOT ACCEPTABLE! This only solidifies my lack of faith for anything medical right now. Again, not everyone is included in this....there are those who care, who are in it to actually help (as we experienced last night)....but just 1 bad apple is one too many. This is only rated a 2 star because of our experience last night. Today's experience would not even rate.

Every experience I have with St Luke's lowers my opinion even when I think it can't get lower. They repeatedly fail to diagnose me with critical and even fatal disorders then give me damaging diagnoses on my record and refused to remove them even when I have proven them to be false. The ER has chased me out when I was half paralyzed with a condition that was later diagnosed by another hospital where I was admitted for two days. I have found them to be not only inadequate but completely unwilling to fix their errors. The administrators direct the doctors to spend his little time as possible with the patients in order to maximize profit. The rising cost of health Care is to pay for such administrators at the cost of care. St Luke's has this down to an art.

I went inside to get my mom a wheelchair, and before I could unlock the wheels a pleasant young man named Vincent had wheeled up with a chair and opened her door.

I've always said ... St. Luke's must have a rule that they can only hire nice people. After hundreds of labs, x-rays, medical appointments and hospital stays, I can honestly say that without exception, everyone was so nice. St. Luke's Meridian is always my first choice when I need medical care or a pharmacy.
