I initially took my dead laptop to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They suggested that the motherboard was likely blown but for $85 in shipping fees, they would send it out for diagnostics, with no guarantee that it would be fixed. I found FatGeek online and thought I'd seek one more opinion before spending a ridiculous amount of money on shipping or a new computer. In less than 24 hours, he diagnosed the problem, had it fixed, and it was under $100.00. Highly recommend!

Monte does top notch work! He was able to extract all the important data off of my crashed laptop and get it set up on a new one. He was very fast and very helpful walking me through a stressful situation. I am a repeat customer and will continue to use FatGeek for my computer needs.

I can’t recommend FatGeek more highly. I have a laptop that is mission critical to the analytical work that I do. I foolishly shattered the display and called Monte in hopes that he could get it fixed and turned around quickly. He did not disappoint. The laptop required specialty components to repair. I dropped it off, and that same day he was able to verify the components required and had them shipped overnight. The laptop was returned good as new with only a couple days of downtime. A close inspection reveals no indication the display was replaced. I received fair, honest service from Monte, and I will definitely go back when I need computer service again.
