Dr. Steffensmeier at the Des Moines Eye Surgeons was highly spoken of and recommended by my Dr Haughland at Pearle Vision in Ames to remove my cataracts. I was so impressed with the entire staff after my initial appointment and was anxious for the surgeries that were performed the 23rd and 30th of January. I was so well cared for and the surgeries went very good! Dr, Steffensmeier and the entire surgical team were so professional and so warm and caring! I had to drive 75 miles to get there and it was worth every mile! Dr Hammer is a tremendous Opthomologist and his staff are all friendly and make you feel at ease. I would highly recommend visiting DSM Eye Surgeons for your next vision check. They are through and thoughtful. I had so many questions and all were answered in a way I could understand perfectly.
Nate was great getting my eyes dilated and explaining the process. Front desk people also very friendly and efficient. Nicole is so helpful getting my glasses made it is actually fun to go to DSM Eye-surgeons!!
The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and talk and listen to you as a family member. I so appreciate how patient they were with me as they discussed my medical issues to be addressed.
