Reid Den Herder, DVM, operates Dickinson County Animal Clinic and has been absolutely fantastic since I adopted Thor, a Terrier/Shar Pei mix, about six years ago from the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa. Thor suffers from PTSD and a significant panic disorder, and from day one, Dr. Den Herder has helped us navigate all the challenges that come with having a large dog who has experienced trauma. Dr. Den Herder and his staff consistently go above and beyond for us. Without their patience, calm demeanor, and compassion for animals, I truly do not believe that Thor would be able to receive any medical care. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We knew we were going to have the best care for our cat. Dr Maria and the staff were very thorough with their exam and found the issue and took immediate action and helped our cat feel better.

My first time visiting Dickinson County Animal Clinic, and the staff was sooo nice! Starting from the moment I walked in, the front office staff was so helpful with my questions. Meeting vet tech Grace was such a pleasure! She is so sweet! Then meeting Dr. Sjodin was a pleasure too! She answered all my questions about my 3 cats, even though the visit was with just 2 of them. If you ask my orange and white cat Tiger, he hated his first visit here! Haha! But all in all, it was a good visit! Thank you so much for making us feel comfortable! ?
