He truly listened to our concerns and, because of his attentiveness, discovered that she had ITP with life-threatening platelet levels. She ended up being hospitalized at Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls. Just days before her diagnosis, she had been playing at a trampoline park.

Our daughter is a bit of a wild, daredevil child, and we are so incredibly grateful that Dr. Barragan took our concerns seriously. His care and attention very likely protected her from a much more dangerous situation.

“My family has been doctoring here for over 3 years. I have had one child with my primary doctor (Dr. Junk) and they were amazing at caring for us in all conditions from labor, sickness and surgeries. One experience that really stood out to our family would be when I was pregnant and I came into the ER bleeding. My doctor (Dr. Junk) saw us in the parking lot as she was about to leave and she stopped and parked her car. She continued to go into the ER to get a wheel chair and immediately led us back to OB where the OB Staff took great care of us. She stayed with us in our room and talked us through every detail until we could be life flighted out.
The amount of care and support that we received in such a scary moment meant the world to us. We have continued using Dr. Junk as our family provider for the whole family and she listens and cares for all our needs minor or big. We have been admitted for other things over the years and all staff were so caring and attentive in every department. I would highly recommend coming here they really do care about your well being.“
