I think I might have looked a bit shocked when I found out she was just recently out of school, believe it or not 4 years undergrad and another 4 years of optometry school. “Dr. Steffensmeier at the Des Moines Eye Surgeons was highly spoken of and recommended by my Dr Haughland at Pearle Vision in Ames to remove my cataracts. I was so impressed with the entire staff after my initial appointment and was anxious for the surgeries that were performed the 23rd and 30th of January. I was so well cared for and the surgeries went very good! Dr, Steffensmeier and the entire surgical team were so professional and so warm and caring! I had to drive 75 miles to get there and it was worth every mile! Dr. Steffensmeier called each evening after both surgeries were completed to check up on me which was such a pleasant surprise but certainly not shocking after the kindness and excellent care that I received from him. “I was in Clive on business when I realized I forgot to pack my daily contacts! I was smart enough to take a picture of my contacts just in case I was able to pass a vision center, but the day got busy and I forgot to even look when traveling between clients. That evening I was having dinner with my sales rep when I noticed Vogue Vision in the parking lot. As my luck would have it, it was 6:01 pm and they close at 6. I peeked in the window where Chuck noticed me. He could have easily said we are closed, but instead he welcomed me into the store and found lenses that fit my prescription! He was ultra pleasant and very kind to help me after business hours. Thank you for your outstanding service, you went above and beyond! If I were in my home state I would have never had this kind of service, Iowa nice!“

“I really enjoy this gentleman that works here. He's a man of few words, but very helpful. Just bring in your Rx from your eye doc. He gives suggestions on shapes that fit your face. Can fix old ones if you bring them in, and has great prices/works with your insurance. I bring in my old standby sunglasses to have him put in new Rx every year(only $75 as of 2023). He calls or texts to let you know when they are done and ready. I highly recommend this place to buy glasses if your on a budget.“
