I messaged Martha and she got back to me very quickly with updates to the class schedule and welcomed me with open arms. I took the Saturday beginner class which was recorded live for her virtual students around the country. It was a beautiful class. I had never done this series of postures in this sequence before. The instruction was wonderful. I can't wait to join in again. I am from out of town and am even considering doing the virtual classes when I am not in town. Martha's yoga studio is a unique, hide-a-way type place in Iowa City. Martha herself is one of the most advanced, knowledgeable yogis and will help you deepen your practice. Her style is a hot, power yoga (Barkan) that will challenge you. At the end of class you will be day dreaming about the next time you can get back there because your hard work in class will be so rewarding. Martha creates a tight knit community around her and you will feel right at home!
