“Switched to Iowa Eye Care in Hiawatha because I had heard good things about them and wasn't having great luck with my previous care provider. They were fabulous - every single person there was kind, friendly, and helpful. My husband just scheduled his first appointment with them, too. I looked at glasses but didn't settle on a pair, and the person who helped me was great about it - she made a note of my favorites on my chart, then printed my prescription for me, in case I wanted to look elsewhere. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. I'm going back this week to order the ones I liked best!“

As a patient of Dr. Fisher for well over a decade it struck me as odd when I was looking up Sigma’s hours on the website today, and saw several scathing reviews.

In 15 yrs I’m not sure I’ve heard of a single complaint from a patient, and any misunderstanding I’ve heard of (from many friends who are patients) has been rectified quickly and satisfactorily.

As a small business owner myself, I have no tolerance for posts ripping upstanding medical professionals with nearly half a century of dedicated service to their community.

I also have no time for keyboard warriors who get online after several cocktails to spew verbal garbage with the writing skills of a 3rd grader, rather than simply picking up the phone to call the office for clarification.

I’ve never had trouble reaching a Sigma staff member to discuss a service or billing issue, and each time it’s been handled in a reasonable, timely & just manner.

If these terribly written reviews/attacks are even real, I would hope their author(s) will stop acting like a jr. high girl, pick up the phone and call the office. However, I suspect they may actually be even more juvenile, and perhaps professionally malicious.

Most small businesses with a decades long track record of industry leading service don’t suddenly decide to do a 180 degree reversal and stop doing the things that have made them one of the most trusted medical providers in the region.
