My Dad had a planned surgery for months. They ended up having to move him across town from the West Des Moines hospital to the Mercy One downtown location for his recovery. Due TO STAFF SHORTAGES! This was unplanned and at a great inconvenience as his family lives in a rural part of the state!
-The downtown Mercy location was awful! I am literally scared if I ever end up there! The nurses were not compassionate or empathetic at all! He had horrible pain management and was talked down to by many of the nurses. There was yelling in the hall from a nurse to a patient as well. Let my wife sit in her lay in her poop for over 30 minutes while recovery from MIRSA on her butt checks. Open wounds and this happened more than once. Anyone know a great Iowa Attorney?
I was going to this hipsital for digestive emergency and it made me so anxious having to go, not only did I get stabbed over and over and over again because of being sick ,but I was not being taken care of the way I should have been. I went in to the er 4 different times , being sent home because of my pain with just pain meds like ibuprofen ,come to find out ,I was developing sepsis and had a fever and shaking because of it. The problem was because of bile in my liver and pain medsnlike this can make things worse. So I kept going until someone believed me .
