The guys at Central Iowa Randon did the job they promised. A wet summer delayed the installation date, but Ben got the job done in ~3 hours. He worked hard on a hot day and did professional, quality work at a very competitive price. He explained how the system worked and the 10-year warranty. They do a follow-up random test in two weeks, but my e-monitor already shows the level at 0.6 pc/l in only two days. Their appointments and billing are made and confirmed online. There was one minor installation issue (a missing c-clamp support on the outside horizontal pipe section) and Randy came back two days later to fix it.
We have moved into a new house and there was a passive radon system installed during the construction of our house. Central Iowa Radon came to install a fan to go from passive to a mitigating system. So he went ahead and installed the fan and the monitor device in the basement. The system is ready to go. The builder will be scheduling an electrician to install the outlet that was supposed to be there and all that has to be done...read full review
Used an Airthings from Amazon to determine whether we needed radon mitigation. We called Central Iowa Radon and got a professional test and determined we needed to proceed. Initial installation didn't get to the appropriate level (red to yellow), once they upgraded the fan we were in the green and have been since. Great to work with and have referred others.
