Just so thankful for this place. The fact that they have a YPAD certification is outstanding- not to mention body positivity coaches. When safety and self love are prioritized- it spills into the performance and the culture in an impactful and beautiful way. My daughter's recent company dance camp even featured a community service project and motivational speakers- like what?!! Beautiful.
My daughter is wrapping up her first year of dancing at The Pointe. She has been taking classes with Miss Demetra and absolutely loves it. Demetra is so kind and encouraging. My daughter's dancing skills have improved greatly under Miss Demetra's teaching. Demetra is also very responsive to parent questions or concerns. I also appreciate that the studio offers a few homeschool classes. We have been able to take advantage of them this year and will again next year as well. If you haven't found a place to dance in Cedar Rapids, I highly recommend looking into The Pointe School of Dance!
Before finding The Pointe, I was not aware that any studios offered classes for adults with no experience. I joined adult ballet this year as a beginner, and Ms. Demetra has done a wonderful job leading our group and giving multiple options/modifications for all levels. She has choreographed a stunning dance routine, and I am excited to get to be a part of the upcoming recital!
