Sayde has helped me tremendously with sciatica. I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room unable to walk. They wanted to put me in a care facility. Morphine did not help! I made it home with other medication and was afraid to go back to yoga. I had a private class with her and she showed me how important form was to control my pain. She is very knowledgeable about how the body works and can pinpoint problems by just watching you sit or move. I am now back to my regular yoga classes and I cannot explain how grateful I am for her care and knowledge.
My very first class with Sayde made it clear that this was something VASTLY different from, and so much more than yoga at the gym. It is a workout for my body and a powerful centering for my mind and spirit. After 14 years of practicing with Sayde, I have witnessed her craft countless lesson plans on the spot to address the individual needs of a room full of people. She has an uncanny ability to look at you and know what your body needs - often before you know yourself!
Having lived with chronic discomfort from scoliosis, I only came to yoga because I had heard of the benefits for mental and emotional calmness. I began yoga after an introduction in a family therapy session. In addition to the calm, I have found her attention to my physical condition has led to decreased pain, increased range of motion and an alleviation of discomfort that I am able to sustain for longer periods of time as my practice continues.
