Thank you, Jamie!!! I originally went to the Walmart in Windsor Heights and received multiple pairs of glasses that I couldn't see well out of, even after they retested my prescription. Unfortunately, they were less than professional when I returned with concerns, so I requested a refund and came to the Walmart in Ames for a second opinion. I was greeted by the kind optician, Jamie, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also quickly identified the issue: the previous location hadn’t measured my eyeline for the lenses. I read the earlier reviews prior to going to this store for optical services, but decided to go anyway and see if anything had changed, since most of the reviews were rather old. I'm happy to report I didn't see hide nor hair of the lady w/the red/purple hair. Everyone there seemed very friendly and competent. Dr. Erick did a thorough job on the eye exam, explaining everything he was doing as we progressed through the exam. There was a girl with multi-colored hair (blonde and pink) who was very good at customer service -- polite, friendly, and informative. The main person I worked with was Alex, and let me just say that guy deserves a big raise. I needed... read full review
