“We live in Marshalltown and needed a landscaper who really understands retaining walls and drainage. This winter when the snow thawed, we had water in the basement. Two basement experts told us that our basement was leaking due to a grading issue that would likely take thousands in landscaping to rectify. However, this didn't make sense to me because the problem just recently started. Patrick traveled over from Ames to assess our problem. He suspected that it was an issue with a clogged underground downspout drain which was an easy fix. Months later after several rainy days, not a drop of water in our basement! We were out of town for the winter when he came over, so it would have been really easy for him to take advantage of the situation and try to sell us a landscaping job for thousands. He sent us a thorough explanation by Email and talked to me on the phone as well. He is very honest and he has a lot of expertise. He told me I didn't need to pay him for the visit, but I insisted on sending him a check for the consultation. Highly recommended!“
