After contacting two other auto repair shops that hesitated to take on the job of fixing my transmission that was slipping, I assume they did not want the challenge or have the knowledge on how to complete the job. I was referred to Pono Transmission and they accepted to take on the job for the following week. Dropped off the car early am and picked it up by the shop's closing. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and helpful in making future maintenance recommendations. Will definitely take my car back for maintenance.

I brought my F150 Econoline Van in for engine work at Pono Transmission, and had a great experience! The shop is run by friendly locals who kept me informed through the whole process and made sure I knew what was being done before they charged me and started the job, Mahalo ??Van is running great after and I would recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic ?

We took the advice of people on Yelp to find a reliable place to fix our transmission. Pono was the only shop, out of 3, to call us back to set an appointment and we are glad they did. It may have taken 3 weeks, but the car runs great and the price wasn't as bad as we feared it would be.
