As someone who never was super excited to be planning a wedding or fussing over details (but cared a lot about how things would turn out 😅), that made all the difference. My husband and I genuinely didn’t have to think too hard or do that much and everything came together perfectly.
Throughout the 1.5 years we were planning with Kristin, she was always available to us for questions and to discuss options. She and her team were detailed and warm and so patient with my increasing number of emails and asks as we got closer to the wedding day. We had definitely complicated things too like doing some of our own decor and having my sister bring and decorate our cake on site - she was so accommodating working with us on those even though I’m sure it made things harder.
Every vendor she personally recommended also went above and beyond and was clearly well-vetted. We particularly loved our officiant, DJ, caterer, and bartending team who made our ceremony feel so personal and our reception such a fun party. Her deep relationships and knowledge of local Maui businesses was incredibly valuable for us planning a destination wedding from the mainland.
Having attended and been part dozens of weddings over the past decade, I can say objectively that ours was the most thoughtfully designed and smoothly run wedding I’ve ever been to. If there were any hiccups, we never knew about them. Our guests raved about the ceremony, the reception, and the overall guest experience. Her team made sure we were taken care of all the way to the end of the night.
Above all, working with Kristin let us actually relax and have fun at our own wedding. A destination wedding with all its moving parts could easily have been overwhelming, but it never felt that way. Our wedding day was everything had hoped for in every way, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Opihi Love to anyone considering planning a wedding in Hawaii.

It was an honor to be an Opihi Love bride!! Kristin and her team were incredibly professional, and helped my husband and I plan the wedding of our dreams in gorgeous Maui! A couple months prior to the wedding, I needed to have surgery and Kristin took care of everything so I didn’t have to worry at all. The day of the wedding was so well organized, and we received many compliments from our guests, several stating it was the most beautiful wedding they had attended. If you are planning your wedding in Maui, I can't recommend Kristin and her team enough. Mind you, I'm in New Jersey across the world, and Kristin was able to bring our dream wedding to life. Working with Opihi Love was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! I honestly don’t even know where to start because they went so far above and beyond anything I ever could have imagined from a planning team!!
They didn’t just plan a wedding, they gave us the gift of actually enjoying it. Everything was handled so seamlessly that I felt completely taken care of the entire weekend. They went above and beyond with every detail, from letting me ship all my welcome bag items to their house, to returning alcohol for us after the wedding, to literally assembling tiny name tags from Etsy that showed up unassembled (which I would’ve lost my mind over on my own).
They’re insanely organized, calm under pressure, so kind, and their design skills are on another level. I came in with a loose vision and what they created was more beautiful than I ever could have dreamed. Everything felt intentional, elevated, and just perfect.
