The instructors, Bruno and Angela, are incredibly talented in martial arts, mentoring, and teaching. They treat the team like a family, teaching discipline and controlled aggression with dignity and respect. The kids' classes are well-organized and engaging, while the adult classes offer a family atmosphere where students of all skill levels feel like they belong. United BJJ Hawaii is an awesome program with high-level instructors and students, providing a challenging and welcoming environment for jiu-jitsu practitioners.
One of the most welcoming gyms I've ever been to : I was honored to share the mats with very tough yet technical training partners - while I did not get to meet Angela and bruno I was greeted by Jason Zawacki who made the experience memorable.
We did hard yet technical rounds and I left with new friends and great memories.
This is the gym I will make the effort to visit again once I'm back in Hawaii .

Only trained for a short period of time but the gym was amazing I did morning classes with Jason and it was awesome. He’s a real good coach that takes time to show you how it’s done. Not crowded super clean and really good vibe. I 100% recommend this place
Bruno and Angela are incredible. They are very talented at martial arts, mentoring, and teaching. It is unbelievable that people can be so humble with the credentials they have. They treat the team like a family. But as the heads of the family, they do teach discipline, and they teach controlled aggression. To be humble but able to execute effective techniques. They teach the ultimate goal of combatative art, but they teach it with dignity and respect.
