My complaint is about reception. I had inquired about teeth whitening products and the hygienist recommended a product that is to be worn 30-60 minutes. I was interested and elected to buy the 10 pack. When I was checking out with the receptionist, he gave me a set of instructions in case the instructions were not included in the box. When I got home, I read the instructions which said to wear the product for a respective amount time based on the percentage strength of the product. The strength that was sold to me was 10%, but according to the instructions it said to wear the product for 8-10 hours or overnight. The 35% strength is to be worn for 30-60 minutes so I called the office to ask if I was given the wrong product. They told me they only sell the 10% one and that they would never recommend to wear the product overnight. I questioned why I was given the instructions then and asked if I could get a refund. The receptionist put me on hold and went to check if she could give me a refund, but upon her response she told me that it was a final sale. I explained the situation again and how it was not my fault that I was given the wrong information and the wrong product. The receptionist started to give me an attitude and was very condescending. She kept repeating herself asking me if she wanted to see what she could do…..ummm yes! That’s why I was calling in the first place. When I asked her when I could expect a call back she said “Monday”….today is Tuesday! So I told her you can’t call me back till next week?? She said I don’t work until Monday. I asked to speak to a manager and she said they don’t have one so I asked to speak to someone else who also did not offer any apologies or understanding and just told me that she would get back to me by tomorrow. This is extremely disappointing how I was treated because the hygienist and the dentist I see are wonderful. I just recommended my husband to the office as well. I hope something is done about the attitude of the receptionist. She needs to learn better customer service. I also hope I am granted my refund.

I highly recommend Aiea Pearl City Dental and Dr. Harada! He is extremely thorough and professional, taking the time to listen to any concerns and ensuring that you feel comfortable throughout your visit. His attention to detail and patient care is outstanding.
One thing that really stands out is the state-of-the-art equipment he uses—technology I haven’t seen anywhere else. It’s clear that he invests in the best tools to provide top-notch care for his patients. I used to dread going to the dentist, but Dr. Harada’s calm and professional demeanor completely puts me at ease.
If you’re looking for a skilled, caring, and detail-oriented dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Harada and his team!

i been using Aiea-Pearl city Dental care for few years. after a search online their yelp is 4.7 of 177 ppl. the reviews reflected what I was looking for, and I trust the yelp community. the main reason I switched dentist is my old dentist was far away and sometime would cancel on me when I arrived or almost arrived after I took time off of work. also the old dentist was a bit rough in comparison. this place is on it with cleanliness, timeliness, reminders, they take care. staff is happy and an overall fun atmosphere. they all look like runway models. their check in procedures have many options, online, in person, or via phone. the wait area is awesome.. like a lounge, get refreshments and tvs couches and tables. the assistant and dentist ( Dr. N ) is very caring and try to be gentle and efficient. they remember you as a person, like they know and remember the chit chat from the last visit. when i go in for cleaning they are very thorough and cover each thing they find with you. they explain every procedure with you and employ some cool new trendy tools, compared to other places. like 3d scanning and imaging then 3d printing and a lot of interesting processes. I despise going dentist but if gotta, this my spot. good luck fam

It looks like I’m not alone! Anthony C. Wrote the exact same complaint that I have! I had a certified letter sent to me. It is literally a letter telling me how the dentist will be dropping me as a patient due to my bill going to collections. This is extremely upsetting because I’ve never received a bill from them. Earlier this year I did move to a different home address, but my mail is forwarded there. I never received anything from them. Now, I have a bill in collections for only $66.38. This is absolutely absurd and ridiculous!!! How do they do this to more than one person versus checking on their billing person to do their job properly by contacting clients when bill is not paid or to see why it was not paid? They did not ever call me! The dentist was great, but the person in billing should be fired for being too lazy to call clients and creating poor customer service.

Great dentist. However, I received a letter in the mail with a signature required from him. I opened it and the first page said he wasn't my dentist anymore, which I just assumed he was moving or something, the second page said I was a deadbeat who didn't pay my bills so the amount owed was no longer in his hands but that of a debt collector. Both documents were signed by the dentist himself. They never sent one bill, left one message, called my phone, or even sent a text. Not even once. This was the most offensive letter I have ever received from a medical professional. I called the debt collector, they didn't even have anything from this guy for me! I called and they apologized, I told them to let me know when they were ready for the card number and paid it. Perhaps next time check your billing person is doing their job instead of sending me a love note via certified mail. Or, you know: call or mail something at least one time. Unbelievably offensive. They asked if I wanted to try to repair the relationship, I said absolutely not.
