Mahalo from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve done to help me get my right shoulder back.

For nearly three years, my shoulder was essentially frozen. Every day was painful. I felt helpless, defeated, and honestly started to believe this was just going to be my new normal. I couldn’t play the sports I love, struggled with simple everyday tasks, and there were days when I couldn’t even lift my own coffee cup without pain.

Before finding your team, I had gone through countless physical therapy sessions at other organizations, saw multiple chiropractors, underwent shockwave therapy, received several cortisone injections, and tried just about every conservative treatment available. Deep down, I knew there was likely a tear, but I wanted to avoid surgery if at all possible.

From day one, your team went all in. You didn’t give up on me. You pushed me beyond what I thought was possible stretching my shoulder, challenging my range of motion, introducing new exercises, rebuilding my strength, and teaching my body to activate muscles I never even realized I had. Every session had a purpose, and every milestone, no matter how small, was celebrated.

Beyond the physical recovery, what truly stood out was the care you showed. Throughout my time there, we built friendships, shared countless laughs, and I always appreciated how closely you watched my form, corrected me when needed, and encouraged me every step of the way. Your consistency, patience, and positivity made the difficult days easier.

Today, I can use my arm again in ways I honestly thought I’d never be able to. That is a gift I don’t take for granted.

It’s a bittersweet goodbye because while I hope I never need physical therapy again, part of me will miss seeing all of you. I certainly don’t wish for another injury, but if life ever has other plans, I’ll know exactly where to go.

I mainly chose this place because of the receptionist I spoke with over the phone, “J”. She was so friendly and professional over the phone, and I could even hear her smile through the phone when she was talking.
She’s wonderful! The wonderful continues with everyone working there. I go to the Waimalu location because it’s most convenient for me. I’m sure the Kaimuki location is just as wonderful because the therapists sometimes alternate locations. The Physical Therapists and their Assistant are so supportive and patient. They are seriously enough, yet throw in just enough humor to make you want to continue going for your appointments! ?“

“I can't say one bad thing about PT Hawaii. I went there to rehab a torn rotator cuff and left with so much more than recovery. Dana is AWESOME, great patient care and genuine concern for all the patients she treats. I continue to see her for treatment and shoulder "adjustments" every now and again..(less if I am diligent with my W,T's and I's) PT was less like torture (most days) just because of the funny and pleasant staff. I've had massage there as well as my son and it's great!“
