I am at Kauai Medical Clinic this morning for an appointment for my wife for a heart check up. Waiting patiently in the car for her due to Covid restrictions, I was struck by an overwhelming urge to utilize the restroom. I quickly masked up and raced to the front entrance of the Kauai Medical Clinic to let the attendant know that I was a family member waiting for a patient, and would like to know where to find a restroom. I was told that there are no public restrooms at the Kauai Medical Clinic these days. What about family members present and waiting for a patient? We have no public restrooms, perhaps you should try Walmart. Covid modifications have been going on for months, is it not possible during these times to find a way to accommodate family members in their time of need?

We do not live on the islands but we wished we did! This past summer we vacationed in Kauai. Our youngest son developed a cough and lung issues shortly after our arrival. We took him to the Kauai Clinic and met with Dr Carl Yu. He was absolutely fantastic with our 2 year old! He correctly diagnosed the issue and truly has a gift with working with children. We can't say enough positive things about our experience with the clinic the staff or Dr Yu. Thank you so much!

I've been taking my daughter here since we moved to Kauai in 2008. The pedestrian she has seen, have always been friendly and always answer my questions when I ask. I have to come here for my ob/gyn and for my cardiologist. I love the nurses I see and really appreciate my doctors when I see them and need them. The wait time isn't bad either. I usually come early to my appointments just in case I can get seen earlier.

I was on Kauai for a vacation while undergoing fertility treatments on the mainland and unexpectedly needed bloodwork and an ultrasound. I have friends on the North Shore who recommended Wilcox Hospital. I called the urgent care and was seen immediately. The staff were some of the nicest and most professional I have come across and listened to my needs. They had me get a STAT ultrasound at the hospital nearby and made sure my bloodwork was sent properly. The only downside is that non-urgent bloodwork takes 2 days to get the results as it has to be sent to Oahu for analysis. I worked with the PA Emilia and she was very pleasant and helpful. I was called that night with my ultrasound results by the provider herself and she even put in orders so I could have another blood drawn in a week, so that I didn't need to come back to the urgent care and be seen again. I am a physician on the mainland and I would love to have the pleasure of working with such pleasant and efficient staff. Mahalo for all your hard work and please keep it up! :) PS: they are no longer located on Kuhio Hwy they are next to the Home Depot. Please confirm the address before you travel there for treatment.

As a tourist from the mainland, the last place Iwanted to be was waiting in a clinic. I could not ignore a bug bite getting infected in spite of my many efforts to self treat with topical antibiotics. I made the mistake of using Google maps and during address on their website- they had moved and not updated thir website. Make sure you call to get directions if you are first time visitor. The wait was long- almost 2 hours, although I was told it would've 15-20 min to get into see intake person. I was informed Monday was the worst day to come- like me, everyone sweats through the weekend and then decides to do something. Staff was super nice and professional. This is a very busy clinic and they are organized and efficient. I am waiting to see the doctor as I write this- hoping my $50.00 fee and 2 hour wait results in correct diagnosis and plan together me back in vacation mode.

While on vacation, I came down with a stye along with allergies. How lucky was I get into the clinic as a walk-in and be welcomed and treated so well. The ENTIRE staff, from reception, nurse to doctor, were wonderful.

Definitely agree with the mosquito comment. Since I have been on the North Shore (about 5 weeks), I have gotten about 30 mosquito bites a day despite wearing long sleeved clothing, trying dowsing myself with DEET, getting an electric racket and avoiding standing water or streams. I am at wits end and don't know what to do. Perhaps the clinic can help....

I have lived in Kauai for 7 years and not had one mosquito bite, and I am on North Shore. Not sure what she is talking about unless she was sleeping next to a river outdoors.

well, of course i've been coming here all of my life for doctor appointments, etc. the staff here is very friendly and accommodating. i feel very comfortable coming here. the doctors are always the best, and, the offices are clean and sterile. i was pregnant last year and visited this clinic for every check-up. the obstetrics and gynecology department were excellent. my regular doctor, dr. littler is a very busy woman so they assigned me to a doctor new to the clinic. dr. behling was sooooo friendly & nice. i definitely felt comfortable with seeing him, and he made sure we were on the same page before i left every appointment. when it came down to delivery, i was lucky to give birth on the day he was on call at wilcox hospital. during my pregnancy, my husband and i took a lamaze class. our teacher, nena cardoso was amazing! i highly recommend taking her class. if i hadn't taken her class, i probably wouldn't have been as prepared as i was when baby came. i also owe it to nena for strongly encouraging breast feeding. i knew what to expect, and to not easily give up. our daughter's pediatrician, dr. sang is also very personable and i really like his style. easy to talk to, and he is great with our baby. over all, i am very glad i have chosen to stay here at kauai medical clinic. the service and health care my family and i have received here is unbeatable.
