So most importantly, the 3 zone mini split system they installed works AMAZINGLY and we couldn’t be more happy with it, or the fair and competitive pricing Dakine offered. Truly top class service and functionality. Perhaps equally important was the fact that the guys doing the install were just a joy to have around the house. In hindsight, most companies will install perfectly functioning AC units, but it’s important to note that you’ll be opening your home to them for several days. The install team were so respectful of our space, really amazing with our 10 month old son, and super fun to chat with. Always happy to answer any questions we may have had, and just had really great attitudes. All things equal, what I didn’t really realize pre-install was how important it was that the people installing were easy to be around. We really feel like we lucked out, and highly recommend this service to anyone on Maui looking for not just a great AC system, but a great install experience as well. Mahalos guys!
I had the best experience with Dakine. I called 5 HVAC contractors on Maui; only 1 returned a call and actually came out to give an estimate. When I went to ask questions about accepting their offer, I never heard back from them. This also has been over a 1 year period. I even just showed up at a company's office and was told, they'd call me when I could go on their waiting list. Guess what, still waiting. I was finally referred to Keith Barrera at DaKine. He not only returned phone calls, but came out the next day and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He was funny, very considerate and gave me great advice on installing a split system in my condo. He and Kathe were willing to work with me and my condo HOA Board in getting all needed documents signed which included getting concrete walls scanned and copies of liability insurance for all subcontractors without any problems. Installation went smoothly and my unit was spotless at the end. My system works wonderfully and I am very happy and oh so cool. Thank you Keith and Kathe!
