Asked for a half an inch off the top. He cut and inch and a half off the top. Asked for a low taper on the sides. Didn’t even give me a low taper just cut whatever.

The first time I went in, great, decent haircut. I was happy! I can’t seem to find good haircuts on this island anywhere. The second time, a month later, cut to THE WORST haircut I’ve had here yet. It was the same chair and I assume same lady as before. Just awful! Bad, chunky blends and this weird thing they do here where you tell them “short on sides, longer on top”, then they blend it too late and you end up looking like a mushroom. Back to square one (cutting my own hair again)

Hello all. I just want to describe how great my experience was at this fine establishment that is A1 Barber. they are NOT A STYLIST!!!!! my experience was truly incredible. Mr Quangs delicate strokes when giving me my haircut along with cutting my hair with the other hand made the experience much better. All the reviews that call Mr Quang racist are wrong. I walked in with my black friend and they still cut my hair. They said his was too hard to cut but that doesn’t matter. I also liked how Mr Quang would take matters into his own hands during my cut and inflicted consequences onto those parking in his spot. The only thing I can say about this place is that Mr Quangs “phone” in his pocket was touching me during the cut but I feel like that might not have been a bad phone. 10/10 will come again.

Clean cut, exactly what I requested, relaxed environment, and I was in and out with no wait. Parking was easy and the place was clean. Not pretentious at all, prices were great and I look just as good as I did coming out of any upscale $50+ a cut place I've been to. Honestly just one of the best experiences I've had at a barbershop.

Great haircut, quick efficient service. Fair price, $22.00 for senior on credit card. Plenty of off street parking. Conveniently located in Kailua. I dropped a star, due to the fact 90% of the cut was by machine.

The best value and quality in town for men. I tried several places in Kailua, from fancy to low key and this shop is what I settled for my monthly haircut. Not a fancy place and their prices are quite low, however you get consistent results if you explain what you want. The shop is always clean, brightly lit and air conditioned. The best time for a walk in is on weekday afternoon. There is often a line on weekends.
