I hesitate to praise this salon only because it might make it more difficult for me to get an appointment!! But it deserves praise.Theresa did an amazing restyle of my hair. She listened to my brief description of what I wanted and created from there. I feel fortunate to have found this salon. I loved it so much I made an appointment for a color. The salon location is in the "industrial" area just east of Costco. There is ample parking around there. And it is right next to Big Island pizza which is a bonus depending upon when your appointment time occurs.Service: Haircut

Wave Salon is the best! Dara is the best. I think I've been going here for 8 years?!? I now drive 45 min each way to stick with Dara. She makes me like my hair after years of not liking my hair. And of course she is also kind, smart and witty, so the chit chat while the magic happens is a bonus!

As a native Hawaiian, my hair is very thick and trust me when I say THICK! I was adopted at a young age so there was very little education on how to properly take care of my hair as my family didn't know. They ended up cutting my hair when I was eight, it SHUNK, and frizzed up! Since Hawaiian hair is weighted down from its thickness, you are not suppose to cut Hawaiian hair apart from the dead ends. When my family cut my hair I felt shattered. It was tough, as my hair took many years to grow back. Needless to say I have never seen the inside of a salon since but I saw Amanda Broussard yesterday just to straighten my hair for a family event and definitely nervous, until I saw the end result. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with my hair and am very thankful by what she did! I look forward to coming back! Mahalo nui, Kalei
