Dr Kawamoto was excellent with Elliott. He's an old school Vet and I like that. No beating around the bush as they say. He was efficient and fast. Very good medical advice for my older cat. He was able to do a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within the next business day so we could fly out. I highly recommend!
I am really overjoyed with Dr. Kawamoto. I agree he has very poor people skills but I was there for my pet. I have a small parrot and desperately needed a vet. There are No vets that treat birds. I called all the vets listed in the area and he was the only one who scheduled an appointment. He treated Raku very gently, kept talking to him making sure he wasn't overly excited. Didn't rush through the procedures. I was able to watch it all and I saw that his entire focus was on my pet. So what he didn't need to talk to me, he focused on my pet and his problem. I will be scheduling my future appoints at Pet Medical Center. I went across the island to Hilo in December to a vet who basically did nothing to trim the beak and charged me more than Pet Medical. I read all the previous reviews and I was prepared to get exactly what they said. No people skills but wonderful and excellent veterinary skills. Carol C. Kona
Amazing. I took my cat for a suspected urinary infection, and Dr. Kawamoto was excellent at assessing her temperament, giving a routine exam, and prescribing needed antibiotics. Short and to the point, asking relative questions. The cost was pleasing. Very happy.
