Where I live, you've got two convenient choices in terms of barbers: Supercuts and Waialae Barber. That was six years ago and I haven't looked back since. The ladies (and one dude) who work there are five the the place a genial and nice vibe. Sometimes I'll hear them talk story with their customers while cutting their hair, other times they're just quietly cutting, focused and efficient. The price was affordable, and the barber shop included a student discount for University of Hawai'i students.
