About The Lavender Clinic
The Lavender Clinic is a small, local healthcare provider that specializes in serving the LGBTQI+ community and other underserved groups. Despite its mission to offer holistic and high-quality care, the clinic has faced challenges in communication and billing. Some patients have experienced delays in response to calls and emails, as well as mix-ups with paperwork and appointments. However, many have also reported positive experiences with the clinic's caring and nurturing providers, who have helped them with hormone therapy and other health services. The clinic's staff has been praised for their kindness, patience, and understanding, particularly during difficult times. Unfortunately, the clinic is set to close its doors permanently at the end of August 2023.
Small local clinic that offers care for trans individuals and others, which is important. Unfortunately, communication is kind of bad and billing is a mess. Plenty of times I have called or emailed multiple times with no response at all. There have been mix-ups with paperwork and appointments and bills. I'm aware they are understaffed and struggling financially but even BEFORE they laid off a bunch of people, it was still like that.
I want to start by saying there are some great providers here. However, the organization (or lack of) makes it difficult to access care. Once again my treatment is interrupted (I'm now on my 4th day without) bc they do not respond to pharmacy requests, do not answer phones, do not respond to voicemails or Elation messages. Yesterday I physically went to the office to ask them to call in my prescription. They assured me they would. They did not. This is negligent and incompetent. And please don't reply about your "interesting last few months". This isn't the first time, and you could message me asking for money but couldn't call in my prescription.
I've been attending this clinic for about 2 years now and they've been very helpful with getting me on HRT as well as setting up the quarterly consultations that come with it. It was a bright green flag that even my doctor recommended them. They were able to get me a prescription for testosterone efficiently and I haven't had a single issue the 2 years i've been taking it! the nurses who first administered my injections were very kind and patient, as well as when they trained me to do it myself at home! If you need help starting hormone therapy I'd strongly recommend starting here.
