My wife and I were celebrating out 45th wedding anniversary with a vacation trip to Hawaii in May of this year. It had been 50 years since I was last here in Oahu when I was in the Navy. I had missed my opportunity to get a tattoo at Sailor Jerry's back in 1975, so I wanted to finally get one before we left to go back home. I called Old Ironside's and asked if I could send them a design I had done and get it tattooed on our last day. I spoke with Pablo and arranged to come in on May 20th (3months ago) and met Harry Seda-Perez, the owner and head tattoo artist. He did a wonderful job interpreting my Navy Anchors Aweigh design and I promised him a great review... read full review

During my brief stay in Honolulu, I had my tattoo done by the artist Charlie. He is a tattoo artist that is both professional and reassuring; he knows his stuff. Before beginning, Charlie made sure I approved the design and placement. He checked in with me every fifteen to twenty minutes to let me know that he was making good progress, when he completed the outline and was beginning the shading, and that he was nearly done. For sure, I'll be returning to have him make more artwork for me. What an amazing opportunity he has given me.
