Amazing trainers! They helped our Golden Retriever, Mav, during the two-week board and train. From basic commands like heel, stay, and place to even learning how to walk beside a walker for my mother, they treated Mav with love and care just like they do their own dogs, like family. We also did a second two-week stay for service dog training. Mav is now able to help our autistic son when he is overwhelmed, anxious, and during tantrums. They continue to check in with us on how he is doing, offer us support, and answer any questions that arise.

It is hard to put into words exactly how grateful we are for the progress our pup made with Maria and Island Dog Obedience. We did a two week board and train with our 11 month old Labrador puppy, Slater and I can say with confidence, it was worth every penny! Our boy came back to us with so many positive behaviors. He now walks beautifully in heel and off leash, responds to a slew of new commands, is able to “place” when we have guests over and has better recall than we ever expected!

Kristi with Island Dog Obedience was absolutely incredible. Our dog, who was once a stressful problem we struggled to deal with, turned into a fun, happy, obedient dog. He now listens when corrected, is extremely reliable off leash, has flawless recall, and can handle distractions well. Before, he was destructive, never listened, pulled his leash when walking, was unreliable with commands, and could never be trusted without a leash.
