It was great! I thought the place was a little sketchy because of the mixed reviews, but I went anyway. Booking the appointment was a cinch, and I got mine for the next day. Michelle was super nice and the salon was a relaxed and welcoming environment. For my first ever experience going blonde, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. It was exactly two hours and I’m pretty satisfied. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is that they didn’t have the color dye I wanted. They only had colors from teal to magenta, but I wanted green. For the service I got, though, it went perfectly.

Michelle gave me a total refresh, nice modern cut with layers and curtain bangs. She was able to give me exactly what I wanted (thin textured balayage style highlights with a cooler tone) with a kind of not ideal base of like 5 different hair colors already on my head. My hair can be stubborn sometimes with lifting (Asian hair) and can turn orange very easily. As you can see, my “after” photo has zero orange and very fine natural looking highlights with depth. I almost don’t wanna write this review because I don’t wanna fight for my next appointment here. I like the convenience of booking online. I was visiting Hickam while my husband was there for training and decided to cut my long hair short after 30+ years. I made an appointment with Lisa on what was her first day working at the salon. She did an amazing job and I could not be happier! Thank you Lisa from the woman from Cleveland ?
