Worst haircut of my life by Marysa. My coworkers tease me daily how I paid $50 to have a hacksaw whack haircut that looks like a bad wig, not in a cool retro way, but in a bad Halloween costume kinda way. Showed her a 2025 cut from a TikTok stylist, she gave me a 1980’s beauty school look.

I followed my hairstylist from down the street in Nuuanu Supercuts… to Hawaii Kai Salon & Day Spa, which is quite far away on the east side of the island of Oahu… Unfortunately, it was his last day there… Best colorist seriously!!!!! He also had the best chair next to window Beautiful station he was assigned to! Owner is very nice too!!!!!

Needed haircut,my usual hairdresser was not available. Have been to this salon in the remote past. They took my appointment for next day. Anna was very thorough, listened to what I wanted, gave a great head massage. My cut was exactly what I wanted.

I came here for a last minute color before my trip. Normally I have a person that I go to but they were booked. It's kind of crazy how busy some places get a week or so ahead just for an appointment. Anyways, I looked online and it seemed like Hawaii Kai Salon and Day Spa had some pretty good reviews so I decided to give them a try. Best part is that it was right down the road. My normal salon is in downtown so it's quite a drive. It was nice just to drive the minutes and be there and be back home in no time once I was done. Even though I was a new customer, they took me in for an appointment. I was a little nervous about going in to a new place since I've heard many horror stories about places. I just hoped that my person wouldn't mess up my hair. I told her I just wanted my roots colored since my whole head wasn't completely gray yet, haha. I told her I wanted it to match. That's the part that scared me. I hoped she could match it. She did my hair using different methods of my normal person but I was fine with it. In the end it was done faster and it came out great. She even went the extra distance and she styled my hair before leaving. She curled it and styled it for me and it looked so nice. Told her I haven't had my hair styled and curled since I got married ten years ago (sad face). Overall great experience and I'm glad I got to try this salon. Hopefully I will be back soon
