I came in (for 3rd time, paid extra each time) for correction of color. Mgr kept saying , you have too much hair ~ I didn’t want full haircut. When she was cutting I kept saying not too much! She said trust me I know what I’m doing, you should let me do it my way.Now I’m so upset! Worst haircut I can ever remember. Idiotic looking. It will take 3 months to grow out.

This was the absolute worst haircut I’ve ever received in my entire life. I have straight hair and all I asked for was for her to cut off the dead ends and frame my face. I didn’t have high expectations for a haircut under 30 dollars but this haircut literally ruined my hair. I can’t even comprehend how uneven it is. They even had to change hairdresser half way through when most of the damage was done in a attempt to save it. The hairdresser did apologize which I appreciate but the manager of the place did not.Service: Haircut

First of all, DO NOT have Angela Tanigawa touch your hair. She was super unprofessional and just terrible in what she does. I usually have a good experience at fantastic sams cause the last time I went there one of the ladies who colored my hair did an amazing job. Supposedly when you pay someone to do your hair, they're the only ones who should work on it right? But she literally asked me to hold up my hair and tie it up myself cause she was rushing and I'm guessing too lazy. Secondly, she kept misunderstanding what I was saying or just not paying attention to what I'm asking for her to do on my hair. Color selection was also very little. Lastly, lets rate how she did my hair before my grandma inspected her work and hated it and she KICKED US OUT of the store swearing at us and calling us names when she's the one who messed up. I would give it a 0. The way she bleached my hair was horrendous and the way she dyed my hair was just a plain tragedy. She does not put in the time or energy into doing hair and the fact that she's the owner of the store and producing work like this... is beyond me. if you're thinking of going to the Hawaii Kai fantastic Sam location. I suggest you choose a different location or prepare to get your hair messed up by Angela Tanigawa.simply u professional and does not know what she's doing most of the time. Not to mention disrespectful and belittling.

It's been a hectic week and unfortunately, waited till the first day of school to stop in. I wasn't there. My husband picked up and stopped by after school. Evidently my son was so upset he flung his mask off upon exiting. The lady he had this afternoon had the clippers so short and so hot that he was getting burned throughout the whole experience. When he got home, I was speechless. Completely uneven, too short, I was almost in tears. It's a cross between a high and tight and a damn Mohawk. No fade, no gradual blend. Just uneven ugly horror. A blind person proficient in Braille could have done better. I'm so disgusted. Will be praying someone elsewhere can at least tone down the disaster and avoid shaving him bald. Completely unacceptable and absolutely out of his school's hair regulations. I couldn't bring myself to take him back in fear of losing my temper in public. I'm beyond disgusted and furious. Where the hell did she get her license?!?! Not only completely ruining his appearance but also hurting him. Thank god he's a respectful young man and didn't yell. It took all he had to hold it in and walk out. Lucky for her I wasn't there. I wouldn't have been able to restrain myself. Beware.

Angela Tanigawa did such a great job on my hair, I'm in love!! Usually when I go into a salon such as Fantastic Sams or my usual, Super Cuts, I don't expect anything spectacular, just doing the job. But I feel like I hit the jackpot with Angela. She took her time cutting and coloring my hair. She even added a little extra color in some places on my head that would usually cost the price of a full head highlight, rather than the partial I got. She was friendly, funny and compassionate and made sure to get the finishing touches done. I could tell she really cares about how her work looks on other people because she made sure my hair looked absolutely perfect before I left the solon. Thank you so much, Angela! I will definitely be coming back. If you get your hair cut here, I recommend requesting her!
