I got the Japanese head spa (basic) and a haircut here. My stylist was Megumi! She did an amazing job for both services. The Japanese head spa is definitely a splurge but you are spending most of the time getting your head thoroughly massaged! Megumi asked if the pressure we was using for the massage was good and to let her know if I wanted it to be softer or harder. The bed you lay in is also amazing. It's unlike any other salon chair. The haircut process was also very good, Megumi took her time. At the end, my hair felt so soft and healthy! I'll definitely come back next time when I'm due for a cut/trim!

Conveniently located in the Ala Moana Medical Building, 9th floor. If you don't want to pay for parking, just park in the structure located at the mall for free, and walk over from the 3rd floor connecting to the medical building's parking lot. Saw them on Instagram and started diving deeper into what services they provided. I became curious to check on my scalp health because my scalp is oily but yet dry at the same time. Had the pleasure of working with Hideyo today who explained the head spa process from start to finish. Without giving away the entire experience (you need to experience it for yourself) it was seamless from the beginning to end. All in all, I learned a lot about my hair, scalp and how to maintain the health of my roots. Pro Tip: Their head spa appointments are available to start booking online from 2 months prior. Limited available days and times, so set an alarm/reminder on your calendar to get the day and time of your choosing.

I scheduled an appointment for a Japanese Scalp Treatment with Megumi and it was an amazing experience. When I first arrived, I received a warm welcome from Megumi and she sat me down and gave me the rundown of what's going to happen thru the treatment. She later took me to the room and that's where the magic happened. The treatment and massage was so relaxing and I swear I fell asleep. After the treatment was done, she blow dry my hair and my scalp looked more healthier than before. I was so impressed by the result that I booked my next appointment so I can continue the scalp treatment. Megumi's expertise in Japanese Scalp treatments is unparalleled. She provides a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, leaving me feeling refreshed and revitalized. Her attention to detail and knowledge of traditional Japanese techniques make her a standout in the industry - in my opinion.

Megumi! Arigato gozaimasu!! Megumi is amazing and does a wonderful head spa. The extras like the tea and shoulder massage were so delightful. Somehow my head feels lighter. The before and after picture of my scalp were incredible. The proof is there! Worth every penny! Exceptional customer service Will be recommending and returning for sure :)

After seeing this place on Instagram I decided to book an appt for the Head Spa treatment. The Head Spa offers a deep cleaning of your scalp and a lengthy head massage to stimulate growth and infuse the treatment. It's all done on their special spa chair which allowed you to lay down the whole time you receive the service. The Head Spa is done in its own room so you're not bothered by the salon noise and it's super relaxing! After the Head Spa they blow dry your hair and give you a neck and shoulder massage! Megumi provided the spa service and she was super nice. Overall I really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it if you are looking to just unwind and relax.

Amazing experience. I did the hair spa plus deep treatment. Learned a lot about how to take better care of my hair and had a nice afternoon nap while at it. Would recommend to everyone.

I went to get a Japanese straight perm done and my hair is frizzy in some areas and not so smooth in other areas. My stylist was Mai. I have been straight perming my hair (with Japanese products) since high school every 2-3 years and I never had this happen to my hair. EVER! The last time I had it chemically straightened was in May, 2018. How she ironed and combed my hair was a bit rough too! When I left the salon my hair seemed nice and smooth but after washing my hair after 2.5 days I saw the flaws. I messaged Creave about my concern and Mai was nice enough to try to fix my hair by treating my hair about a week later. At that time I also requested her to cut my hair about 1.5-2" shorter. Her excuse to my hair getting frizzy was that because she used a milder product that it may have damaged my hair or maybe the shampoo I was using stripped the chemicals out (I think that's what she meant). Well, long story short she did a horrible job cutting my hair and I had to go fix it at another Japanese hair salon in manoa. The stylist at Manoa showed me how crooked the bottom layer (hidden from the top layer of hair) was! I was shocked! It almost looked deliberate.... Also, after the treatment of my hair, it feels a little better but it's still not the same or close to the same as how it usually comes out. I still have a lot of frizzy areas not even a month later. Creave used to be a decent salon when they were located in Hyatt Hotel. Idk what happened to them....Emi uses to do my hair at Creave but she is no longer employed there... I paid $300 ($260 for the straight perm + tip).... I will never go there again.. I am disappointed.
