At first, I was super nervous and skeptical about the whole idea, However, after our on phone consultation about the specific problem I was having, he then proceeded to plan out a treatment that would help with that. “I kept having numbness and tingling in my right arm for the past 4 years. . . been to other chiropractors, PT, massage etc. and nothing seemed to help. Thought I'd try Awakuni as my friend and her family see him, and so glad I did! Doc took x-rays and pointed out the issues in my neck causing the problem. I was given stretches to do at home and a treatment plan. 6 months later, here I am with little to no issues with the numbness. It does flare up occasionally, and when it does, a trip to see Doc Awakuni straightens it right up. I have to add, I appreciate the affordability of his treatments as well. His office staff works with you to set up affordable options (pay all at once, or half up front/half later, or pay as you go) and will give you the form to send to your insurance to get reimbursed. This place is a well oiled machine, once you are established as a patient, you are in and out the door in 15-20 mins.“

“I've been seeing Dr. Sara since last summer for my chronic eczema that I've suffered from since birth and she’s been a tremendous support on my healing journey.In Hawaii, we are experiencing a shortage of doctors due to the high cost of living in Hawaii and many various reasons. I've been seeing all sorts of doctors since I was young and Dr. Sara is one of the few that has really helped me to get to the solution of the root cause of my health condition. Fear not, times have changed, and it seems as though Oda Ohana has taken the feedback left by others to heart. My Groupon deal was great, the people I spoke with on the phone to make an appointment were friendly, I was called to be given a reminder for my appointment, and everyone was friendly when I came in. I read about the parking drama, so I parked at Ala Moana and walked over. It was a pleasant walk, about 5 minutes or so. The massage was wonderful - thank you, Kammie! My only other feedback is that it was very, very cold inside, which made it hard to relax. Other than that, I had a great experience. Also, they're located on the 13th floor now, not the 4th, like other people mentioned in their reviews.“

“I was in a moped injury accident on August 1, 2022 and needed a referral for massage therapy. First off, the Hawaii Wellness Group shares offices with the Honolulu Pain Relief Center on the 16th floor of the Interstate Building. I had been going to Honolulu Pain Relief Center for my chiropractic needs on a regular basis but following the moped accident, the front desk staff were kind enough to refer me to Dr. John who wrote up a prescription to get massage therapy especially for the parts of my body that continue to hurt weeks after the moped injury accident. As I've come to learn, all that paperwork among other legal-related things can and does take a while and can be confusing, but in the end, I'm just thankful to be getting any additional treatment I need to get better.“
