Is there less than one star? The receptionist, ( they don’t wear a badge with their name for me to direct this complain ), who is short and bigger in front desk could t be more rude and unprofessional in handling simple request.. we don’t expect much professionalism from this side of the island but her attitude to patients is sooo off.. literally, we are the ones covering her pay check and still that is how she treats us.. so disrespectful and ungraceful.. Clearly this is not a job that she enjoys nor has merits for…

Could not be any happier. Gulnara Nadeau is amazing. Very knowledgeable and always allows you as much time as you need for your appointment. Quick response via email. Refreshing that there are people like Gulnara in today’s world who actually care about patient care.

Amazing family practice, great staff and great location. We are very happy with the care we have received.

Dr.Trask is a horrible doctor doesn’t treat patients good would not recommend to anyone

This place is a horrible place to go for care our doctor treated us not good. Don’t go here for seek care someone else don’t recommend at all.

BEWARE of Gesina Recto!!!! She is a TERRIBLE person! When she was still practicing in Laredo, Texas, my children had been a very regular patients of her for a 2-3 years and since at that time I had 4 children I was there very regularly, I'd have to take at least one of them at least once a month. This means that she would see us all the time, she knew they were happy and healthy, and for the most part she was nice, however, she would always pressure me to get my children vaccinated, and also to get the flu shots, I always refused. I think she secretly resented me for this, because as soon as she got a chance this EVIL WITCH tried to get her revenge.....One of my little boys had been pushed of a playground and I called and ambulance and police, my little boy only 1 years old at the time was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The doctor on staff that day neglected to do an arm X-ray, and told us he was fine. I did take him for a follow with her a couple of days later, and she didn't really look him over, she said that if the hospital say he was fine, than he was. About a month later my little baby feel of a chair, being that he was so tiny, and just barely walking his balance wasn't the best, and so he fell, he tried to catch himself with his hands/arms and he was crying terribly so I immediately took him to her, she looked at his arm and he said that she thought it was broken. Sent him for X-rays and by the next day she call Child Protection Services saying that X-rays showed that his arm has been broken and never treated! CPS did end up investigating everything and accusations were unfounded, because, by the GRACE OF GOD, there was a lot of documentation as to what really had happened, the timeline of the arm fracture and the original fall checked out as well as the hospital doctor not checking any of my baby's limbs for broken bones, as well as the police report....GOD really made sure that there was sufficient proof to protect my family. I don't know what the outcome would have been otherwise. She is evil and deserves to lose her license. I find it weird that she would leave Texas, I wonder if she ended up having problems here. Gesina Recto- I'm Rosa Flores, my child is Ezequiel, you know that this is a fact! Why'd you leave Laredo, you had your own clinic??? Very suspicious!

I was very impressed with a specific individual by the name of Mia from the initial phone discussion to actually coming into the office to enroll and schedule an appointment as a new patient.
She is a great listener, informative, and went over the call of duty to Help/Assist another patient checking in.
It’s evident she genuinely cares about people and her job.
She does her job so well. My experience was Stellar because of Mia. She deserves to be spotlighted and recognized for it. Fantastic job Mia!

Big Island Healthcare is one of the best run health services on the Big Island. We have never had to wait past our appointment time and the staff is very friendly. Our primary physician, Michelle Ojiri, is professional, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Referrals and prescription renewals are done in a timely manner. I have used their message board a number of times and have gotten a call back either the same day or the next business day from a staff member who has discussed my concern with Michelle and is able to answer my question. I am so glad we found Big island Healthcare.

The staff is very friendly and efficient. The building is very clean. The communication prior to my visit via email made my check in simple and quick. Dr Michelle Ojiri was great. She listened and asked questions to help identify my concerns and explained my test results thoroughly. I highly recommend Big Island Health Care as they are extremely professional with top notch doctors.

The clinic sees my 95 year old mother. They are very patient with her as she is hard of hearing. As a group they have a lot of experience taking care of elderly complex patients. Highly recommended!
