Aikido of Hilo is a very special Dojo. For decades Aikido of Hilo has explored, expanded, and elevated the Art of Aikido for generations of practitioners. Aikido of Hilo is a very special Dojo. For decades Aikido of Hilo has explored, expanded, and elevated the Art of Aikido for generations of practitioners. There is a historical archive of knowledge within this sacred space that traces its roots back to the founder of Aikido. Sensei(s) and their senior students are some of the finest people I've met. Their classes are invigorating and dynamic. Although the pandemic has been a challenge for everyone, Aikido of Hilo continues to carve a path for Aikido to blossom within those who continue to explore the Art and its transformative process. Over time like precious raw iron (tamahagane), Aikido forges the body, mind, and soul to remove impurities within ourselves revealing the beauty and strength within us.

These are the people to bring your kids to for martial arts in Hilo! Wish they had a better location and parking for more people to find out about them. Very professional and truly care about the students. Everyone is nice here.
