Jhermayne is so gentle and kind, she answered all my question, explained each step she was doing, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It was so relaxing, I almost fell asleep! Now I come back to see her every month. She also does my eyebrows so they stay tidy. Very easy to make appointments. I wanted to keep this place to myself, but I have to share how awesome it is ?“

“I called Thursday morning to see if they had any openings. They said possibly about 11a and they would call me as it gets closer. They called about 1030a to confirm and that i could come in... very accommodating. They're located at the intersection of 7/11 and shares parking... there is free parking there and other free parking in the near vicinity. Very convenient. The shop is typical asian and clean. Very friendly owners and staff... reception, male barber and main barber/stylist. The cut took about an hour. I had little shortee than mid-back length hair. I gave a reference pick... turned out ok, but was given a little shorter cut. I think it will grow out ok. As for pricing... very reasonable. I might come here again.“

I had the most wonderful experience with Darlla of DARLLING MANE INTENTIONS. I’m visiting from the Big Island and haven’t cut my hair in a long time — I have super long, thick hair and lots of anxiety around salons. I came across one of her haircut transformations on TikTok months before my trip to Oahu and was immediately obsessed with her work. When I realized her salon was close to where my boyfriend’s family lives, I knew I had to try and book.

From the start, the process was seamless — online booking was easy, and before my appointment, Darlla reached out with clear directions to help me find her space. Upon arrival, she greeted us warmly and instantly made me feel comfortable. Her studio is gorgeous — clean, well-designed, and clearly cared for.

As someone who’s very introverted and nervous about small talk, I was worried… but Darlla is genuinely so warm, personable, and easy to talk to. She listened so well to what I wanted, made the consultation feel natural, and struck the perfect balance between engaging conversation and peaceful moments of quiet. Nothing felt forced — it felt like chatting with an old friend. Another stylist (I believe her name was Ashlyn — apologies if I got that wrong!) was working next to us and also hilarious and kind. The whole vibe of the space was just so friendly and cozy.

Beyond her kindness, Darlla’s skill is unmatched. She worked with such grace and precision — her technique is clearly rooted in experience and care. She made it look effortless, even though I know it wasn’t. I felt totally relaxed the entire time.

One thing I deeply appreciated: she asked for permission to record or take content, and gave me the option to maintain privacy. That was so thoughtful and respectful.

When she turned me to the mirror… I couldn’t find the words then , but I was honestly emotional. I haven’t felt this beautiful in such a long time. My hair feels healthy, clean, and alive again. She helped restore more than just my split ends — she gave me back confidence I didn’t know I lost.

To top it off, after the appointment she even sent product recommendations and hair care tips. She truly goes above and beyond.

I got a haircut from Joanne in 2024 before moving to AZ for a bit. She was fantastic and gave me the exact pixie cut I asked for!! I took her card and everything for the inevitable next cut.
