I've grown my natural hair without a relaxer for more than 5 years and hadn't had a trim in about 3 years because it took me that long to find a salon/stylist I thought I could trust. I found it on google. When I called the shop I was able to make an appointment, I was given an approximate time for the service to be completed and I was given a firm price beforehand. Wonderful! When I arrived (slightly late) I was seated immediately in a chair for work. Mrs Bessie did an excellent job and she was very pleasant to talk to. This family-owned and operated business has been serving the community for 20 years. Mrs Bessie and her daughter offer a lifetime of experience. They really aim to please each client. I plan to go again for future hair care and I would recommend this shop to others.

I wish that I could say that I had a great experience but I did not; in fact, it was the opposite. I went in with someone else and I am thankful that she was treated better. The staff was nice but I just cannot overlook the fact that they let me sit up in that chair for about an hour with the relaxer in my head. When asked if I was burning, I said yes. She said 'okay,' and kept going. She asked me two more times a few minutes later, same thing. The next morning when I uncovered it, my hair was all frizzy and of a gummy texture, all stuck to my scalp. My family came into town that weekend and it was so embarrassing to have had to hide my "freshly done" hair behind hair decorations. All I have to say is that we will not be returning.
