I appreciated the level of care that came across in all of our interactions, both toward my dog and myself. They spent a good deal of time reviewing prior history, physically evaluating my dog, and asking relevant questions. It came across as being thorough which I honestly struggled with at another Neuro (Blue Pearl).After my dog had a MRI the doctor did a great job of trying to explain things so it was understandable and digestible. It’s evident she’s very knowledgeable and informed. Most importantly, she was transparent about what to expect going forward. I left feeling like I had some level of clarity in connecting all the dots of information I had received.Also, while this may seem small, they clipped my dogs nails. Not sure if they had to or not but he was definitely overdue for a trim. It was a small gesture that was appreciated.

BVNS was able to diagnose an issue my 13-year-old Chiweenie has experienced since he was a puppy. It required an MRI, which was not cheap, but we've spent so much time and money over the years without ever getting a believable or accurate diagnosis that it was money well spent. I'll continue to take my dog to BVNS (now merging with Atlanta Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Alpharetta) regularly (on a quarterly basis) for them to keep an eye on his condition. And of course, I'll continue to take him to his primary care vet. BTW, Wrigley has/had an auto-immune issues which damaged the muscle running down his back (tail-end). This was impossible to diagnosis without an MRI, and was not even what the BVNS provider expected.

Dr. Akin and the entire staff as BVNS made us feel so comfortable and seen throughout our entire visit. We came in after an emergency vet visit a few days prior and were treated so well, and felt so confident that they were doing everything for our dog.

My 10 year old yellow lab has been treated by Bush for the last 8 months. They’re great to work with very attentive and friendly. I recommend them for all your neurological needs.

Love the care that the entire staff gives my dogs and makes us feel like family. Dr. Akin is absolutely amazing. She is so knowledgeable and has the best bedside manners one could ask for and treats each animal like they are her own. She has cared for 2 personal dogs (Mandy = seizures and Saffy = spinal surgery) plus a foster dog (Sweet Sparkle) for seizures too. Would highly recommend her to anyone!

Very knowledgeable staff, they were patient and caring even with a dog who could be quite grumpy due to pain. Dr. Akin took lots of time to explain the diagnosis and recommendations and answer all my questions. My experience so far has been great. Thanks for taking good care of my little guy!
