Emory at Beaver Ruin - Primary Care

We went for annual Medicare visits as we had just moved to Georgia. The Emory name drew us to this practice. The doctor put me on antihypertensives, first time. Two days later I almost died in a parking lot in Florida with hypotension. To top it off we got bills for $600 and $400. This made our bills over $2000 without even taking clothes off!

If you are sick what you do is called the Dr,That option Emory has taken by changing to to the new system of my chart.It’s worst.Nobody calls to let you know about your blood work what’s the result.It seems everyone is working under pressure.Second time I wanted and appointment the front desk says Dr is booked for another 3 months.They want me to wait 3 months to get better.Hell no. Why we have you had our Dr so I don’t have to go to ER in case of emergency.My husband is a cancer survivor so he had to be careful.So I prefer he under one roof where all his file is accessible.I am changing my health plan this year.This is ridiculous.Sorry to say.

If I could give a zero I would. I have never endured such disrespect and disregard for emotion from an African American doctor that I have experienced with Dr.Blackburn. She (was) both myself and my mothers PCP. It took two weeks just to get someone from their office on the phone because they always have an answering service. They refused to refill my mothers Blood Pressure medicine for weeks because she didn’t have the money to pay for a visit when she had already been twice this year. I had to call more than 6 times just to actually get someone to speak to me. Not one person I spoke to from the office apologized for the inconvenience they caused me or my mother....read full review
