“I was suffering from severe pain for about 5 months in my right hip/leg. I could not walk without the aid of a cane. My primary care doctor referred me to an orthopedic surgeon, where I had X-rays/scan and was informed that I needed a total hip replacement; I’m 72. I was scheduled for surgery within a month, had surgery, and went home that day. I began Physical Therapy 2 days later. I was off the walker in a week and pain-free. After the 2nd wk of PT, off a cane. I just completed my 8-week follow-up with the surgeon. I still have some recovery to go to complete the healing process, but I am so far ahead of where I was 2 months ago. I am amazed. Thank you, Performance Physical Therapy, LaFayette, GA.
