The salon feels like home and everyone including Alex, her husband, mother and daughters all feel like family to me. I have been going to Alex for a couple years and always leave satisfied. However as of August 2023 I stopped by to have Alex shave my head. I was diagnosed with cancer and the chemotherapy treatments caused brutal hair loss. The shave- was such a sentimental moment that I’ll never forget. Since finding out of my condition Alex has continued to check in on me to see how I am doing. I can’t wait for my hair to start growing back so that I can be blessed not just by her hands again but by everyone’s presence within the Alex Dominican Salon!!Services: Blowouts

Excellent experience every single time I go. Alex and her staff are amazing and never let me down! My silk presses last longer than any other salon I’ve been to and do NOT damage my natural hair! I highly recommend this place.

I finally found a hairstylist who understands curly, LOTS of thin hair, 2c/3A curls, and most importantly, how to cover GREY HAIR (ALL of it!). Alex listened very well regarding my negative experiences with other salons, and she did not disappoint me. She is professional, understands coloring and texture, and ensures that my hair will be soft and manageable after color. Amazing JOB!!! See pics. The color is fantastic, and you cannot find one grey on my head. My hair is about 30% grey, and you cannot tell. She will take her time to make sure your hair is the perfect color, style, texture, etc... Worth every penny! Please note she did not place any relaxers...read full review
