I had my first Esalen massage with Andy last week and it was wonderful. He was very clear in explaining the massage technique beforehand and gave me the history of Esalen massage (how and when it started) which was extremely interesting. I have heard about Esalen over the years and have always dreamed of going to the Esalen Institute Spa in Big Sur, California but have never had the opportunity so I felt so fortunate to find an Esalen trained practioner here in Atlanta! Easalen massage is a very different experience from the more traditional deep tissue massages and I have learned from the past two years working with Andy that massage doesn’t have to be painful to be effective! Andy’s knowledge of Easalen and bodywork in general, as well as his background in other physical and spiritual healing modalities, makes the experience especially unique and powerful. Easalen massage has been an integral part of my healing from trauma and long-term stress as it addresses the entire body - physical and emotional.

I have had two sessions, so far, at Esalen. I must compliment Andy Ritan. Truly the best, most relaxing massage I've ever had. I had frequent massage therapy in California for around 40 years. When I moved to Georgia, I had no idea who to see. A friend recommended this style of massage for me. Andy is very knowledgeable. He knows his craft very well and is kind and professional.
