“Highland Roofing Group LLC was a very highly rated contractor on Angi’s List I solicited for exterior painting using the highest rated Sherwin Williams paint (Rain Refresh) which is the most expensive. They did an outstanding job and warranted their work for 4 years but Sherwin Williams provides greater promise for the paint. They also inspected my roof and were able to convince USAA that all the recent hailstorms had damaged my roof beyond repair. Their success in negotiating with USAA after 5 denials in claims since I bought in 2012 is such a blessing since the Levitz built homes had installation issues and with 35-year shingles, insurance companies were reluctant to approve replacement. However, hail damage was significant. Highlander is an approved roof installer for Owens Corning shingles and as such, transfers a warranty for the shingles assuring against defects in manufacturing which is transferable to purchasers of my home if transferred within 60 days of purchase. In addition, Highland’s 10-year warranty supporting their work in installing new roof is also transferable to new owners. These warranties are especially important because we never know when we might need to sell our homes.
