They took out my braids so fast and it was cheap too. Love the girl at the front desk she’s really sweet. Everyone’s hair around me also looked really good

I have been serviced for at least 6 years and may have had difficulty on two occasions. One being no one was available to do stitch tribal/twist after waiting for quite some time, and the other being twist unraveling. I normally arrive first on Saturdays and have no issue getting in and out. I never observe my hair in great detail but I tend to like my hair afterwards. I’ve been to many other African salons and this one has the least amount of drama. They don’t take many breaks and they have many braiders. I personally don’t think they deserve as low of a rating.

It's a decent place to get your hair braided with 2 to 3 people on your head except for busy days like around major holidays. The only issue I had was the length of my braids when I wanted them shorter.

Went in for individual plaits since im doing the rest of my hair by myself and just needed a headstart. I called a few hours before and they said the price would be $105-$120 for small parts. I come in and double check everything is as stated before but, then they said it would be $140. I referred to my phone call earlier that day then my stylist Panda and the owner (I think) had a conversation and then they said okay to $120. I came in at 6:30pm and left at 10pm. I would give more stars but, my issue is that I came in for just the parting and so I expect it to be very precise. While it is braided very crisp the two rows in the middle are not the same size as well as the parts in the back that are double the size of the parts in the front that they started with. While yes I did check in a few times as she did the front rows and it was good I think the parts could be more even. i recommend asking for or bringing a hand mirror to make sure the parts are the exact same size throughout multiple times. That’s not something the client should have to do every 20 minutes but, yea. Also the horizontal middle part in the back is so slanted it doesnt look great. Panda was extremely kind and okay with me using a specific gel since I have a sensitive scalp and didn’t force me to use the finishing spray. I was just a little disappointed since I spent so long trying to figure out where to get these parts and decided here because I got amazing knotless braids 2 years ago at this shop but, this wasn’t exactly what I was expecting.

I’ve been here a few times for the same boho braids, no complaints. This time felt way different. They charged me $290 plus I brought my own hair and I asked for mid back. I was hearing them quote prices to other ladies for way less, without even seeing their hair, same boho mid back. I had two ladies on my hair. The lady who did my front was done first and I liked how she did my braids but then I got home and I noticed the finished braids in the back and they were terrible. Loops of boho hair hanging out. It was like she didn’t gof. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Sonya is the worst! 5 hours for cornrows for $200 they looked terrible. She did not want to fix my hair. She threatens to take then out I just want some of the braids fixed but I say ok just give me back my money and that will be fine. They then try to say the will give me 160 back. I said no because she is the one that wants to take them out I just wanted a few fixed. She then cuts my hair and leaves! So I end up having to take my own hair out in the shop. I will never go back here again the worst braiding experience I have ever had. I did get my 200 back. There are some good braiders but not her. She would rather give back 200 after 5 hours than spending 30 mins to fix a few braids. Shame on you Sonya! If I coul give her 0 stars I would!

I’m honestly disappointed with my experience. I’ve been here about five times and have only liked my hair twice. I asked for small knotless braids, sat for 5 hours, and paid $350. The front looks okay, but the back is unacceptable. The braid pattern is off and the parts are way too big for what’s supposed to be small. Instead of offering refunds when the service isn’t done right, the solution is always to redo it as if I didn’t already spend hours sitting there. My time and money matter too.

Absolutely not. Avoid if you have short hair, or any for that matter. Got smedium knotless and they cut so much of my actual hair. Parts were HUGE in the back and small in the front. They used such an unnecessary amount of braiding gel. It was oozing out of the base of my braids and my scalp was so itchy. While the service was fast and folks were mostly friendly, not all braiders are equally talented, and that was evident while looking around the (extremely packed) salon. The pictures posted are on their Instagram are the exception, not the standard! My family has been going here for several years and the quality has gone down in such a disappointing way. It doesn’t look like they engage with their reviews but please believe the current rating (2.8) and avoid going unless you have a preferred braider (which apparently is not permitted and punishable).

Don’t go unless u looking for very fast sloppy service I requested smedium knotless $250 these braids so big they never gave me a mirror or stopped after a few braids partially my fault i should have asked they use to do good work but for that price my braids is ridiculous The lady brading even tried to convince me me tl get med i said no i need them to last ill never ever go back
