After being informed by a company—let’s call them “X Heating and Cooling”—that my system would require $4,800 in repairs, I decided to seek a second opinion based on recommendations from the Oglethorpe County Facebook community. Several people suggested Acker Heating and Cooling, and I am so glad I followed their advice. The technician from Acker was courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. Within 40 minutes, he had my system up and running. In contrast, the technician from Company X spent only about 15 minutes on-site before providing his so-called “educated” diagnosis. Acker rep was very knowledgeable and professional. Unit was not what he was accustomed to but he handled it well. He answered my questions and was very thorough.
