This is such a cute place! I absolutely liked the drive from Mccaysville. The store and orchard are settled back off the road and offer a wide variety of Southern- Appalachian goodies! The Jars of spices and homemade tinctures make the visit worthwhile. Don't forget to grab a basket and pick some apples.

My new favorite orchard in Georgia. Great selection of apples, multiple varieties and well managed. A hidden gem that offers a much better experience than the God-awful crowds at the more well known destinations around.

We thoroughly enjoyed the beginners yoga practice with Amanda. She lead with compassion and care. There were attendees of all ages and she made everyone, at all levels, feel comfortable and free to do what their bodies felt lead to do. The practice was invigorating and just what we needed for the day ahead filled with hiking, horseback riding and sightseeing. We will definitely return. The space was beautifully decorated and well lit with natural sunlight diffused just so by shades. Everything was perfect. Thank you

Enjoyed the "Fire On The Mountain" tonight with my family of grown kids. We started with a tractor/wagon ride around the orchard. Then we went to the holler where a roaring bonfire was waiting for us, as our cook out items were beautifully presented on a picnic table. We had freshly, carved sticks to use to roast our hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire. There was a large tub full of bottled water, and cans of Coke and Diet Coke. In an oversized picnic basket, was an assortment of small bags of chips, Doritos, Cheetos, etc, along with two packages of Oscar Mayer hot dogs, buns and aluminum camping plates. In a small basket were individually packaged portions of smores fixins, beautifully wrapped in wax paper and tied with string. This was a great night to enjoy simple times with family! Well done, Mr. Joe and Amanda!

My fiancé and I were traveling into town from FL and I stumbled across this place online from their blog i believe? Any-who- we made a reservation for a picnic (must be planned 2 days in advance, but they accommodated 1 day for us), and it was a HIGHLIGHT of our little getaway. First, the location is absolutely beautiful with their little shop full of natural remedies, I could spend all day admiring all the products they make from scratch. Second, the team there was SO incredibly sweet and accommodating, and just good-hearted folks. You can tell they take so much pride in what they do. Third, the food they prepared for us was DELICIOUS. All made with locally sourced ingredients and just prepared with love, attention, and care. Everything came in the cutest picnic basket. We pre-ordered the chicken salad sandwiches, cheese & meat board and some scones. Everything was absolutely delightful. Probably the best chicken salad, lemonade, and blueberry scone I've ever had in my life. Honest to god. simple but just done well! It was rainy so they let us set up on the little raised wood platform and it worked out great. We enjoyed the sounds of nature and took a little nap after. They even sent me home with a bag of vegetables for free because they didn't think they'd be put to use before going bad. I made homemade pickles out of the cucumbers they gave me, so good! If you are in town and looking for things to do, you must set up a picnic. They just started them and are seriously a hidden gem. Wish them all the success.

I was hesitant to write a positive review because I hate to lose my semi private orchard since it is tucked away in our sleepy town. However, I would be remiss if I didn't give them well deserved kudos for their baked goods and customer service. There is no comparison when it comes to their pies. I'm not sure whether they are baked or fried because they aren't greasy like every other fried pie I've ever tasted. I haven't asked because I prefer to think I'm eating healthy. We recently purchased a couple of cherry trees, and the owner took the time to tell us how to plant and prune the trees. I hope people will pop in for a scone and some tea, but leave some for me (or I'm erasing my review).

Amanda and Val were both so knowledgeable and kind. I would absolutely recommend taking yoga classes here. I can't wait to go back!

Y'all, u-pick was closed at the "big box" orchard, as I'm calling it, and we were in dire need of some apple picking to complete our cabin-in-the-mountains dream itinerary. Cue the newly opened Deep Roots with it's small town feel, hand-drawn maps and plenitude of apples. To pick, I believe it was $4 per person and if you fill your basket (a very large basket) then that was about $18. You could also just straight up buy apples if you don't feel like picking. We went the first week of October and yet, 3 weeks later, we are still eating apples. That is how many apples that is! The best apples from our basket had to be either the Jonagolds or the Golden Delicious. We also enjoyed the apple butter, the decor and, of course, the hospitality. If you're looking for a less commercialized apple picking experience, you've found it here in this cute little cider house. Room for Improvement: I think it would be a good idea to add a few markers up and down the apple tree rows so that you don't lose track of what's what and have to walk back down the hill to the front of the orchard. For the apple cider donuts, I was expecting something more cake-like. Would've also liked to see mulled cider for purchase rather than the plain cider that we bought.
